The “Hong Kong Awards for Industries” comprised of seven categories organized by different institutions, of which the Hong Kong Productivity Council is responsible for “Productivity and Quality Award”. To be eligible for the competition, participants have to be companies that provide manufacturing or service-related services, which are registered with the Business Registration Office of the Inland Revenue Department for one year at least. The awards are judged by how the CEO and senior management team initiate and carry out continuous productivity and quality improvement, how a company creates value and optimizes resources to enhance productivity and quality, and the number of measurable productivity and quality achievements.
